Second, although you don't need a gigantic following before you can make money with Twitter, you should build up a following that has the same interests as you. This will help keep them tweeting and will help you to cultivate a relationship with your followers on your Twitter site. To keep the relationship going, you can tweet on comments that were sent to you from previous tweets. This is far better than having hundreds or thousands of followers that are not interested in anything you have to say.

Third, right at the beginning, you really don’t want to be promoting anything too quickly since you really don't want to come across as only interested in selling your products on Twitter. Take the time to establish a relationship of trust with your followers. Get to know the followers on your site. Then when it comes time to make money with Twitter, it will be easier for you since you already have a relationship established.

Fourth, once you are ready to make money with Twitter, don’t promote your products or services too blatantly. Otherwise you could come across to others as spamming. Hence, it is not a good idea for you to mention your product every time you send a tweet.

Finally, when the time is right, go right ahead and promote your product if it's relevant and beneficial.

Here are three ways that you can make money with Twitter:

* Product recommendation - Writing a recommendation of a product to your followers and encouraging them to go check it out and take action on it. Of course, it’s always a good idea for you to have actually tried out the product yourself.Then you will become the expert on it, you'll be able to provide your honest opinion on it and your followers will be more inclined to purchase.

* Affiliate marketing - Placing your affiliate link in your tweet post, if you are recommending a product on behalf of someone else.

* Your own product - Promoting your own product and selling it from your sales page.
